While CRY is implementing this campaign across six northern states,

Jan Mitra Nyas is leading it locally in Varanasi, its area of work since 2001.

Because when adults listen, children’s voices don’t just echo —they spark movements.

जनमित्र न्यास द्वारा “कप उठाओ और सुनो” अभियान वाराणसी के 50 गाँवों में सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न हुआ।

बाल दिवस के अवसर पर शुरू किए गए इस अभियान का उद्देश्य बच्चों की आवाज़ को सुनना, उनकी समस्याओं और चिंताओं को समझना तथा उनके सपनों को महत्व देना था। प्रतीकात्मक पेपर-कप फ़ोन के माध्यम से बच्चों ने अपनी बात अभिभावकों, शिक्षकों और स्थानीय समुदायों तक पहुँचाई।
अभियान में 4 ब्लॉकों के 50 गाँव शामिल हुए जहाँ बच्चों, अभिभावकों, शिक्षकों और समुदाय के सदस्यों ने सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया। यह पहल बच्चों की भागीदारी, आत्मविश्वास और संवाद कौशल को बढ़ावा देने के लिए की गई।

The “Lift the Cup and Listen” campaign by Janmitra Trust was successfully conducted across 50 villages of Varanasi.

Launched on Children’s Day, the campaign aimed to amplify children’s voices, understand their concerns, and encourage meaningful dialogue between children, parents, teachers, and communities. Using a symbolic paper-cup phone, children shared their thoughts, challenges, and aspirations.
The initiative covered 50 villages across four blocks and engaged local officials, teachers, parents, and community members. The campaign strengthened children's confidence, participation, and communication skills.

🤱 “Brick-making can wait, but my baby cannot,” said Kajal (name changed), as she stood up to her supervisor and chose her newborn’s well-being over productivity — a quiet revolution in the heart of oppression.

🤝 Thanks to the work of CRY – Child Rights and You and JanMitra Nyas (JMN), more mothers are now accessing institutional deliveries, timely vaccinations, and nutritional support — even while migrating.
